Martin H. Gicklhorn, Architect, Principal, Laboratory Planner
Martin Gicklhorn, Architect, Principal, brings 38 years of experience to his role as Partner and Principal in the planning, design, and renovation of research and development facilities. Throughout his career he has been responsible for providing a wide range of professional design services beginning with programming and detailed laboratory planning to construction documentation and administration. His projects span a wide range of technical facilities for prominent west coast colleges and universities as well as state-of-the-art research facilities for some of the leading microelectronics, biotech and pharmaceutical companies in the world.

Martin's detailed knowledge and broad range of experience features in-depth expertise in code and regulatory agency related matters, complimenting his extensive project management experience leading multi-disciplinary design teams. His high level of service has garnered many projects from repeat clients, including the University of California campuses in Berkeley, Davis and Irvine, as well as projects for Genentech, Amgen, Bayer and ICN Pharmaceuticals.

Martin is a graduate of Cornell University, and is a registered Architect in the State of California. When he is not busy solving code issues and fume hood air flow requirements he can be found coaching his sons’ baseball team or hiking with his family in the beautiful Bay Area.
