The Neuroscience Institute, lo­cated on the first two floors of Barker Hall on the UC Berkeley cam­pus was a 20,000 sq. ft. fit-up, which filled 2 floors and had been emptied for a seismic upgrade project. Each floor is organized around a ‘suite’ design which promotes casual interaction. The project also included administrative areas, neu­ro­science test and exam rooms, wet labs, com­pu­ta­tional neu­ro­science labs and a brain imaging center computer room.
